Senior Java Developer with Python experience

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot
• Practical Python development and scripting experience
• Ability to understand Java code and implement equivalent business logic in Python
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, JSON, and system integrations
• Strong SQL and relational database experience
• Knowledge of unit testing, debugging, Git, and CI/CD practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Preferred: BFSI experience in banking, payments, lending, or financial services
• Preferred: Exposure to Java-to-Python migration, application modernization, or legacy transformation projects
• Preferred: Experience with Python frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI
• Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms and enterprise application architecture
• Preferred: Understanding of financial transaction processing, data security, and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot
• Analyze existing Java applications, business logic, and workflows to support the transition to Python
• Develop and maintain Python components, translating Java-based business logic into Python
• Support application modernization, code migration, and integration activities
• Build and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise application integrations
• Work with relational databases, SQL queries, and data-processing workflows
• Perform unit and integration testing, debugging, code reviews, and performance optimization
• Maintain functional consistency, data integrity, security, and reliability during migration
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and cross-functional engineering teams
• Follow secure coding standards and applicable BFSI compliance requirements
