Senior Mendix Developer

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in consulting, business processes, or software development
• At least 5 years of experience developing with Mendix
• Familiarity with business processes such as purchasing, sales, manufacturing, finance, and insurance
• Experience with IT projects or building SaaS companies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work remotely up to 90% of the time and travel up to 10%
• Bachelors degree or minor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Decision Information Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent application development experience
• Knowledge of REST APIs and other integration technologies
• Preferred: Mendix certification; experience in a similar role at an IT-focused consulting services company; strong understanding of data and systems; familiarity with development languages such as C#, JavaScript, React, React Native, Angular, Swift, or PHP; understanding of application UX concepts; Agile and Scrum certification
• Enjoy working with small teams and startups, researching platforms and learning new technologies, meeting coworkers and clients occasionally, and working across different industries
• Appreciate a balance of structure, strategy, and planning with the freedom to think and work independently, and bring enthusiasm to your work

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage assigned client projects through completion using Mendix
• Carry out development work on the Mendix platform
• Create wireframes and data models to communicate application designs
• Perform full-stack development quality control
• Coordinate with UX designers
• Keep stakeholders informed about development progress
• Demonstrate work to client stakeholders and internal audiences
• Communicate project status and blockers to project managers
• Work with technology partners to understand, apply, and improve best practices
• Develop expertise in other low-code and no-code platforms
• Manage remote team members to meet client goals
• Take on broader responsibilities as our company grows
