Senior ML Product Owner / Business Analyst

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or in a related role.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into structured product initiatives with clear business value.
• Demonstrated experience delivering real-time, customer-facing machine learning products.
• Understanding of modern data ecosystems, data pipelines, and machine learning lifecycle concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to draw statistically valid conclusions and proficiency in SQL and at least one analytical tool.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills in agile or iterative environments, including experience working with leadership.
• Ability to mentor teams and influence without direct authority.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, resolve blockers, and deliver results with urgency.
• Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W-2 basis during the contract and convert to full-time employment afterward, subject to performance and business needs.
• Preferred: Experience in merchant acquiring, payment service provider, or card network environments; familiarity with tokenization, real-time payments, and the authorization lifecycle; or experience in large, complex, highly regulated organizations.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product requests and convert them into high-level requirements, detailed user stories, and functional specifications.
• Identify product opportunities and inform go-to-market strategy using data analysis and payment domain knowledge.
• Assess data availability, quality, and sourcing to guide solution design, and analyze cross-product orchestration to support cross-system designs.
• Own and maintain machine learning product roadmaps.
• Set and prioritize objectives with Product Management and business stakeholders, translating strategy into actionable deliverables.
• Lead quarterly and sprint-level planning, including prioritization and sequencing, and adjust plans as business needs and execution constraints change.
• Monitor delivery of features, stories, and tasks, and validate completed work against acceptance criteria and business intent.
• Represent the team in cross-team project meetings and foster collaboration toward shared business objectives.
• Identify and manage dependencies and risks, surface improvement opportunities, and communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to stakeholders.
