Senior ServiceNow Developer

Requirements:

• Deep, hands-on ServiceNow expertise, particularly with Virtual Agent, and experience across ITSM, HRSD, and Knowledge
• Ability to design, build, and scale ServiceNow applications, workflows, configurations, and AI-powered experiences
• Experience with ACLs, business rules, UI policies, data policies, automated testing, and code reviews
• Experience building and maintaining REST/SOAP integrations and Flow Designer automations
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences and translate business needs into technical specifications
• Self-directed approach, sound judgment, and ownership of work with minimal oversight
• Commitment to producing clean, tested, well-documented work and maintaining development standards and security compliance
• Familiarity with AI development tools such as Claude Enterprise and ChatGPT, with the security judgment to use them responsibly
• Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder; sponsorship is not available

Responsibilities:

• Design and build ServiceNow applications, workflows, configurations, Virtual Agent flows, and AI-powered experiences across Non-Prod, UAT, and Prod environments
• Write and maintain automated tests, lead code reviews, and use AI development tools to support delivery
• Partner with IT, Operations, People, and cross-functional leaders; lead technical discussions and independently translate business requests into technical specifications
• Manage the incoming request backlog and communicate priorities and timelines
• Build and maintain integrations with platforms including Workday, Okta, and third-party connectors
• Develop Flow Designer automations, reduce manual handoffs, and identify opportunities to improve the employee experience
• Provide reactive support, resolve bugs, and handle platform upgrades
• Enforce development standards and security compliance
• Mentor team members through code reviews and pairing sessions
• Maintain technical documentation and Knowledge Base content

This full-time, permanent ServiceNow Platform Engineer role sits on our IT Infrastructure team and is a new addition to expand senior-level capacity. The work is primarily proactive, with about 70% of time dedicated to new builds, integrations, and roadmap delivery. The role offers a path toward Principal ServiceNow Platform Engineer and potentially platform architect or enterprise systems lead as we grow. Compensation is $150,000–$170,000, plus bonus and benefits.
