Senior Software Engineer

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a data-related field, plus six years of experience in the role offered or a closely related position
• Alternatively, a masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a data-related field, plus four years of experience in the role offered or a closely related position
• Four years of proven experience with programming languages including Ruby, PHP, .NET, JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, Python, and CSS
• Four years of proven experience with frameworks and tools such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, Flask, Cypress, Jest, Mocha, VueJS, ReactJS, PySpark, AWS, Docker, and Databricks
• Four years of experience with manual and automated testing tools
• Four years of experience building multi-tier web-based systems and complex data-driven applications
• Four years of experience using version control systems
• Four years of experience developing technical strategy using real-time metrics, performance data, and incident trends with DataDog
• Four years of experience visualizing system architecture, data flow, and service boundaries using Draw.io and Confluence
• Four years of experience aligning technical initiatives with product and business timelines using Atlassian Jira Advanced Roadmaps
• Four years of experience with the software development life cycle
• Four years of experience with Agile practices and methodologies
• Four years of experience with performance monitoring and observability
• Four years of experience identifying hotspots, technical debt, and refactoring opportunities using AWS Bedrock and GitHub Copilot

Responsibilities:

• Lead one or more software engineering teams through the full development lifecycle, from defining design requirements with stakeholders to delivering scalable, interoperable solutions
• Apply deep technical expertise to address complex engineering and architecture challenges using diagnostics, operational insights, and product alignment
• Write code independently and support peers through code reviews, debugging, and refactoring
• Set standards and best practices that promote consistency, scalability, and reliability across teams
• Oversee software quality, release coordination, and monitoring approaches, including observability and disaster recovery planning
• Detect and remediate critical security vulnerabilities, contribute to secure coding practices, and help ensure compliance
• Drive process and productivity enhancements across teams and functions while partnering with Product Support, QA, and SREs
• Provide technical direction, coaching, and thought leadership, including input into senior leadership discussions on current and future engineering needs
• Work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. while operating within Central Standard Time business hours
