Senior Summit Developer

Requirements:

• 8+ years of financial services technology experience, including substantial hands-on development and support of the ION Summit platform.
• Strong knowledge of Treasury and Capital Markets products, including Fixed Income, FX, Money Markets, Derivatives, Securities Financing, and Liquidity Management.
• Advanced C++ skills, including object-oriented design, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Strong SQL experience, covering database design, query optimization, stored procedures, and data analysis.
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, process automation, and system troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python and other scripting languages for automation, integration, and operational support.
• Experience with Summit modules for Trade Capture, Risk and PnL, Market Data, Back Office Processing, Accounting and Settlement, and Reporting and Interfaces.
• Knowledge of system integration technologies, APIs, messaging frameworks, file-based interfaces, and ETL processes.
• Experience supporting highly available, business-critical trading applications at enterprise financial institutions.
• Preferred: Experience with cloud technologies, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring tools.
• Preferred: Knowledge of regulatory reporting in Treasury and Capital Markets.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices.
• Preferred: Exposure to market data vendors, pricing engines, and real-time trading systems.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills, with the ability to turn complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience collaborating across business and technology teams in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and guide solutions from conception through production support.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, configuration, enhancement, and ongoing support of our ION Summit trading platform across Treasury and Capital Markets.
• Work with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Operations, Product, and Technology teams to deliver capabilities for trading, valuation, settlements, accounting, and regulatory reporting.
• Build and maintain Summit interfaces, custom workflows, reports, and integrations with internal and third-party systems.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues while maintaining platform stability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Support platform upgrades, environment migrations, release deployments, and modernization initiatives.
• Engage with external vendors and business stakeholders to gather requirements, offer technical guidance, and recommend best-practice solutions.
• Help ensure the platform meets regulatory, audit, security, and operational risk management requirements.
