ServiceNow Architect / Delivery Director

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience delivering complex ServiceNow solutions, including 2–3 years in technical leadership, governance, or architecture.
• Advanced knowledge of the Now Platform, JavaScript, ServiceNow REST/SOAP APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, Flow Designer, Client Scripts, and Service Portal development using AngularJS and widgets.
• Strong implementation and architectural knowledge across multiple ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SPM, CSM, or IRM, and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems using Integration Hub, MID Servers, and OAuth.
• Preferred certifications include ServiceNow CSA, CAD, CIS in one or more tracks, or CTA.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics in terms of business value for executive stakeholders.
• Strong mentoring skills and a commitment to developing junior and mid-level developers and administrators.

Responsibilities:

• Set and enforce technical governance frameworks and best practices across our ServiceNow instances.
• Align ServiceNow solutions with our enterprise architecture, ITIL practices, and security standards.
• Oversee instance strategies, cloning schedules, CI/CD deployment pipelines, and release governance.
• Track ServiceNow releases, emerging technologies, and Store Apps to advance platform innovation.
• Assess workflows and custom applications, recommend technical debt reduction and modernization, and lead proofs of concept for new features.
• Establish quality controls for low-code/no-code and pro-code development.
• Review code and configurations for scalability, performance, and compliance with ServiceNow execution limits.
• Introduce automated testing and static code analysis to support upgradeability and platform health.
• Design and conduct technical interviews and screening assessments for prospective employees and contract resources.
• Evaluate candidates technical skills, architectural aptitude, and fit with our engineering team.
• Act as the top technical SME escalation point in the Service Line for complex, business-critical issues.
• Direct troubleshooting of architectural, integration, and performance problems, including script, database indexing, and MID Server issues.

We are seeking a hands-on ServiceNow Solutions Director to lead technical support and engineering strategy across our ServiceNow ecosystem. The role is the senior authority for technical governance, platform health, and innovation, and helps shape the talent developing on our platform. This is a telecommute Solutions role with working hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; a bachelors degree is listed. The stated salary range is $175,000–$200,000 per hour.
