ServiceNow Developer

Requirements:

• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES5/ES6) and ServiceNow Glide APIs, including GlideRecord, GlideSystem, and GlideAjax.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JSON, XML, REST and SOAP APIs, and AngularJS/Bootstrap for Service Portal development.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM modules, Service Catalog, Business Rules, Flow Designer, Scoped Applications, and CMDB.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, ITIL v3/v4, and CI/CD practices.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on engineering experience.
• Typically 2–5+ years of software development experience, including at least 2+ years of ServiceNow development.
• Preferred certifications include ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in relevant modules, and ITIL v4 Foundation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop custom applications, forms, tables, and workflows on the ServiceNow platform.
• Write client-side and server-side scripts using JavaScript and ServiceNow Glide APIs.
• Configure access controls to protect data and manage role-based permissions.
• Build and maintain REST/SOAP integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems.
• Automate multi-step business processes using Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Workflow Editor.
• Create and enhance Service Portal pages, custom widgets, and user interfaces using AngularJS, HTML5, CSS/SASS, and Bootstrap.
• Implement Service Catalog items, record producers, variable sets, and fulfillment workflows.
• Manage and promote code across development, test, and production environments using Update Sets and Application Repositories.
• Support platform upgrades, patches, and regression testing to reduce conflicts and maintain system health.
• Maintain CMDB, Service Mapping, and Discovery configurations.
• Develop high-quality applications and design and implement testable, scalable code.
