Shopify Designer & Developer for Handmade Brand

Requirements:

• Strong Shopify design and development skills, including theme customization and layout creation.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for e-commerce websites.
• Understanding of UX and UI principles for online retail.
• Ability to manage product listings, collections, and site content in line with brand and merchandising goals.
• Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, website performance optimization, and responsive mobile design.
• Experience working with imagery and graphics, with basic proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with creative, marketing, and operations teams.
• Interest in handmade, artisan, or lifestyle brands and ability to translate brand stories into digital experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain our Shopify storefront to create an appealing, user-friendly, high-converting shopping experience.
• Create and customize Shopify themes and develop product and collection pages.
• Improve site navigation and maintain consistent visual branding.
• Manage website content and imagery, and apply SEO best practices.
• Monitor site performance and coordinate with product, marketing, and operations teams to reflect new collections, promotions, and inventory changes.
• Test and refine website features, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute ideas that strengthen online storytelling for our handmade products.
