Software Development Manager

Requirements:

• Seven to 10 years of software development experience, including three to five years of management experience.
• Experience leading onshore and offshore teams developing AI-enabled solutions with the end-to-end Microsoft stack.
• Ability to set goals, manage two-week sprint schedules, and motivate teams to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate and plan with cross-functional teams to achieve product delivery goals.
• Experience with Azure DevOps work items, task boards, and source control, plus familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Detailed knowledge of database design and object-relational database technology.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Retail or wholesale experience is preferred.
• Technical experience with the Microsoft stack: MS SQL Server, .NET/.NET Core, C#, ASP.NET (MVC/API/Razor), and WPF.
• Experience with JavaScript (Angular 2+/jQuery), HTML, CSS, SharePoint, SSRS, and ABP.
• Familiarity with distributed application architecture, including Docker containers, Kafka event-driven messaging, microservices, caching and syncing, and analytics and monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Grafana.
• Familiarity with Redis, Identity Server, SSO, and Blazor.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor software developers in designing, developing, and deploying high-quality AI-powered software solutions.
• Oversee the complete software development lifecycle for assigned functional modules, from requirements definition and design through development, testing, implementation, and maintenance, identifying and mitigating project risks.
• Promote responsible use of AI in software development, including AI-assisted coding, code review, documentation, requirements definition and translation, modernization, DevOps, and analytics.
• Oversee the analysis, execution, and support of assigned projects, including resource planning, team selection, performance appraisals, budgets, and project documentation.
• Develop and manage project schedules and detailed plans, estimate time and effort, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with application development and technology guidelines.
• Communicate and coordinate with senior management, business users, project sponsors, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to improvements in application and infrastructure architecture, processes, and standards.
• Lead a team delivering and supporting distributed solutions while encouraging innovation and career development.
• Guide the team using Agile methods, business goals, and emotional intelligence; hold regular meetings to track progress and hear ideas.
• Review technical team members work and ensure adherence to application and architecture guidelines.
• Approve AI software designs and participate in strategy sessions with the team and business community.
