Software Engineer Intern

Requirements:

• We require candidates to be pursuing a bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree at an accredited university in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, wireless engineering, information security, mathematics, digital arts and sciences, or a related field.
• We prefer experience or familiarity with one or more of the following: C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, Windows, .NET, Unix, Linux, service-oriented architecture (SOA), real-time operating systems (RTOS), real-time controls, wireless technology, software security, robotics, object-oriented analysis and design (OOA/OOD), Hadoop, Android, and embedded systems.

Responsibilities:

• Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis principles to develop software for target applications.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues across functions to develop and assess hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design.
• Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment.
• Develop software test procedures, programs, and related documentation.
• Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
• Participate in peer reviews and identify, track, and resolve defects.
• Use a range of programming languages and platforms, including Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and embedded real-time operating systems such as VxWorks, Linux, QNX, Integrity, and Windows CE, across Motorola, Intel, TI, and custom processor designs.
