Software Systems Integration Engineer

Requirements:

• Active DoD Secret clearance at the time of hire
• Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1–2 years of professional engineering experience; substantial systems engineering internships or co-ops are also considered
• Understanding of systems engineering concepts and the system development life cycle
• Experience with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS, Jama, or similar
• Technical documentation experience, including specifications, interface definitions, drawings, or test procedures
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred: Experience with SysML and MBSE tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, or Sparx Enterprise Architect
• Preferred: Navy combat or weapon systems experience, including Tomahawk
• Preferred: Accreditation, certification, or DoD RMF support experience
• Preferred: Linux and networking fundamentals
• Preferred: Python or Bash scripting experience
• Preferred: Government or Navy customer experience
• Preferred: Experience in an Agile development environment

Responsibilities:

• Decompose, trace, and maintain system- and subsystem-level requirements
• Support functional and performance analysis, system design, and trade studies
• Define interfaces among system components, software, and external systems
• Develop engineering deliverables, including specifications, interface documents, diagrams, and test procedures
• Support integration and verification testing in laboratory environments, tracing test results to requirements
• Identify and resolve design and interface issues during development, integration, and testing
• Prepare accreditation and certification documentation and evidence, and support evaluation events
• With guidance from senior engineers, help ensure designs meet government specifications and are documented, verified, and certified
