Specialist, Cloud Software Engineer

Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience; in lieu of a degree, we require a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• We require an active TS/SCI clearance.
• We require DoD IAT Level II certification, such as Security, to be obtained within 80 days of hire.
• We prefer on-site or field experience.
• We prefer cloud migration experience.
• We prefer strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We prefer experience automating deployments and configuring EC2 instances.
• We prefer familiarity with the C2S Access Portal (CAP) and high-side AWS environments.
• We prefer experience configuring GitLab pipelines for automated cloud resource deployment.
• We prefer proven ability to design, develop, configure, and deploy cloud-based applications using AWS services.
• We prefer a collaborative team player who has worked in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities:

• We design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• We build robust cloud-based applications by applying our AWS cloud development experience.
• We migrate existing applications to cloud-based architecture.
• We ensure applications follow AWS best practices and use appropriate services to remain scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
• We work directly with customers on a daily basis to understand requirements and deliver suitable cloud-based solutions.
• We produce detailed documentation that supports design, development, and deployment activities with clarity and reproducibility.
• We adapt to support different mission areas and remain flexible in support of mission success.
