Sr Software Developer

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of software development experience, with demonstrated expertise in technical solution delivery, architecture, process improvement, and technical leadership.
• Solid understanding of Costpoint extensibility and integration, with hands-on experience in at least one of the following: Costpoint Extensibility Designer, Integration Console (WIC), stored procedures, or Java.
• Familiarity with hook-based and event-driven plugin patterns in the Costpoint framework.
• Direct Costpoint experience is preferred. Comparable enterprise ERP extensibility experience, such as SAP ABAP, Oracle EBS, or Microsoft Dynamics, may be considered, with the expectation of learning Costpoint.
• Hands-on experience shipping production systems built with LLMs or generative AI, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Azure OpenAI.
• Practical knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic frameworks, plus a track record of using AI tools to measurably improve development speed or quality.
• Advanced proficiency across the teams technology stack, including Python, Node.js, .NET, CI/CD, serverless technologies, and AI/LLM tools.
• Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server T-SQL, including writing SQL compatible with both platforms.
• Proficiency with Maven, Git, Jira, Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, and Claude.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Build and deploy custom solutions across multiple Deltek products in collaboration with customer-facing Technical Consultants.
• Develop client-specific customizations for global accounts, including Java-based ERP extensions, stored procedure hooks, custom application screens, and batch processing for billing, revenue, purchasing, HR, and general ledger modules.
• Create structured, reusable code components and pattern libraries to reduce long-term maintenance costs and support flexible deployment across products.
• Champion an AI-first engineering approach by incorporating AI tools and AI-driven solutions into everyday development.
• Promote AI-assisted development tools, including code generation, AI pair programming, and automated testing and review, to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Mentor developers in practical AI skills, including prompt engineering, LLM API use, and evaluation of AI-generated output, while setting standards for responsible AI use.
• Track emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve quality and efficiency.
