Staff Product Applications Engineer

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field, plus 8 or more years of experience in RF or silicon engineering or a related role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Structured, analytical approach and strong technical problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills, including experience discussing technical topics with customers through written and verbal communication and live presentations
• Detail-oriented writing skills
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new skills and tackle complex problems
• Proficiency with data analytics software and the ability to communicate complex data clearly to internal and external audiences
• Experience understanding customer requirements and translating them into technical solutions
• Proactive approach and ability to respond to customer needs at the pace of business
• Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours, such as on-call or flexible scheduling, to support customers in different time zones

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a RAIN RFID technical specialist for our global partners and field sales teams
• Provide responsive, high-quality hardware and RF technical support to customers
• Engage with customer and partner technical leaders on product features and capabilities, and on methods for manufacturing and using RAIN RFID inlays and tags
• Create and maintain technical enablement resources for new and existing products, including documentation, application notes, training, videos, reference designs, demonstrations, and testing
• Document applied product knowledge and benchmark our products against competitors
• Collaborate across teams to develop demonstrations and proofs of concept showcasing our RAIN RFID Endpoint IC capabilities
• Lead team efforts to resolve complex customer issues by gathering information, capturing tag data with RF and other test equipment, analyzing results, and working with our senior technical leaders
• Develop a root-cause plan for each customer case and communicate regularly with customers and internal teams
