System Engineer, Mid

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or higher in engineering or a related technical field
• At least five years of relevant engineering experience, with a background in systems engineering or a related discipline
• Experience supporting systems engineering, technical analysis, system performance assessments, or engineering risk evaluations
• Ability to assess complex technical issues and develop evidence-based recommendations
• Experience preparing technical documents, briefings, and recommendations for technical or program leadership
• Ability to analyze technical information and system performance, develop threat mitigation approaches, and support risk-based engineering assessments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting technical findings and recommendations
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams and engage with government customers and other stakeholders
• Current Department of War Top Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required at this location
• Desired: Strong background in mission engineering and mission-level system assessment
• Desired: Experience with threat analysis, threat mitigation studies, or operational risk assessments
• Desired: Experience evaluating weapon system capabilities, limitations, and potential employment approaches
• Desired: Experience supporting customer engagements, technical reviews, and decision briefings
• Desired: Ability to turn complex engineering analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for government stakeholders
• Desired: Familiarity with Navy weapon systems, advanced weapons, or related Department of Defense programs

Responsibilities:

• Serve on the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Threat Mitigation Analysis team, assessing threats to the CPS weapon system and evaluating its performance
• Apply systems and mission engineering principles to assess threats, system capabilities and limitations, and operational risks
• Develop technical recommendations to inform customer decisions and system employment planning
• Perform other duties as assigned
