- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience testing VoIP systems, including voice-channel performance testing beyond basic functional call testing.
- Experience evaluating voice-quality characteristics such as noise, crosstalk, frequency response, distortion, balance, gain, return loss, tone handling, and speech quality.
- Strong knowledge of VoIP and telecommunications fundamentals.
- Experience creating and carrying out formal test procedures and using equipment or software to capture and analyze voice-performance measurements.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to document quantitative results and technical findings clearly.
- Experience with air traffic management, air traffic control voice communications, radio communications, FAA systems, or other mission- or safety-critical voice systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with SIP/RTP, Wireshark or other packet-analysis tools, Linux, network testing, Jira, requirements traceability, automated testing, or formal FAT/SAT environments is beneficial.
