User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Lead

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of software testing and quality assurance experience.
• At least 2 years leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enterprise implementations.
• At least 2 years of Salesforce implementation experience, including Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Salesforce Government Cloud, or related platforms.
• Experience supporting legacy mainframe-to-cloud or CRM modernization projects.
• Experience with data conversion validation, reconciliation testing, and parallel testing.
• Experience managing business subject matter expert testers across multiple departments or business units.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional business, QA, development, and data conversion teams.
• Proficiency with testing and defect management tools such as Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps, Client ALM, Micro Focus ALM, or qTest.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience presenting project status and testing results to leadership and governance boards.
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in consulting or professional services environments with changing priorities and project requirements.
• Preferred: Experience supporting state or public sector technology programs; Unemployment Insurance Tax or related public sector experience is highly preferred.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Unemployment Insurance Tax processes, including employer registration, wage reporting, contribution calculations, tax rate determination, benefit charging, and appeals.
• Preferred: Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, or Salesforce Public Sector Solutions Specialist certification.
• Preferred: ISTQB, Certified Test Manager, or related testing certification.
• Preferred: Experience with Agile or SAFe delivery methods.
• Preferred: Experience supporting Unemployment Insurance, benefits, or Medicaid modernization, or similar government transformation programs.

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead the UAT strategy, test approach, entry and exit criteria, and acceptance sign-off process for the Salesforce UI Tax platform.
• Develop the UAT master plan, schedule, and resource model in alignment with program release cycles.
• Convert business requirements, legacy mainframe functionality, and Salesforce configurations into acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
• Maintain traceability among legacy functionality, business requirements, user stories, and UAT test cases.
• Lead development of UAT scripts and scenarios covering employer registration, wage reporting, tax rate computation, benefit charging, delinquency and penalty processing, appeals, refunds, and correspondence.
• Coordinate parallel testing and reconciliation of legacy mainframe and Salesforce outputs to verify data conversion accuracy and calculation parity.
• Work with business analysts and subject matter experts to ensure testing reflects business requirements and regulatory standards.
• Manage defect triage, prioritization, tracking, and resolution with Salesforce development teams and mainframe subject matter experts.
• Coordinate with project teams and vendor partners to support timely defect resolution and retesting.
• Support compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements when testing sensitive financial and personally identifiable information.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, testing workshops, status reviews, and readiness assessments.
• Provide leadership and governance teams with testing updates, risk assessments, and go-live readiness recommendations.
• Support production readiness and obtain formal business sign-off for deployment.

We are seeking a UAT Lead for a large-scale Unemployment Insurance Tax modernization initiative, helping ensure business, regulatory, and operational requirements are met before production deployment. This is a full-time, 14-month contract based in Newark, Delaware, with a hybrid schedule requiring onsite work at client offices three times per week. Candidates must be local to Newark and available for two client interviews: one virtual technical interview and one onsite interview.
