Workday Developer - Remote

Requirements:

• Several years of senior-level, hands-on Workday engineering experience, including ownership of complex work from start to finish.
• Strong production experience configuring Workday and building integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Extend to develop custom applications.
• Ability to work independently, assess ambiguous requests, recommend an approach, and deliver with minimal supervision.
• Preferred: End-to-end custom software development experience in Java and/or Python.
• Preferred: An AI-forward approach, including use of AI-assisted development tools and identifying opportunities for AI automation.
• Preferred: Experience with Workday AI features or AI Gateway, AWS or another cloud platform, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, develop, and maintain solutions across the Workday HCM platform.
• Design and build inbound and outbound Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and web services.
• Develop custom solutions and automation to reduce manual work.
• Use AI tools, including coding assistants, agentic workflows, and large language models, to speed up delivery and automate routine tasks.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and support engineering standards and software development lifecycle practices.
