Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of APIGEE and its features and capabilities
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing API management strategies
- Hands-on experience migrating from APIGEE Edge to APIGEE X
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices
- Proficiency in a backend development language such as Java, Node.js, or Python
- Experience with API security protocols and standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS
- Experience using API testing tools and frameworks
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Certifications in API management or cloud technologies are a plus
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement APIGEE API management strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead the migration from APIGEE Edge to APIGEE X while minimizing disruption to existing services
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and turn them into technical specifications
- Create and maintain clear, accessible API documentation for stakeholders
- Monitor API performance and optimize efficiency and reliability
- Guide and mentor junior developers and other team members
- Keep up with current trends and best practices in API management and integration technologies
- Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards and best practices
