Asset Movement Engineer

Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• We need at least 5 years of experience with Java, React, JCL, DB2, and Expediter or comparable debugging tools.
• We look for experience building and supporting both batch and online/web applications.
• We require experience supporting communication between mainframe and open systems environments.
• We value strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• We need excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
• We look for strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• We partner with an Agile team to deliver technology solutions that create business value.
• We lead the analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of complex applications and information systems.
• We translate business needs into technical solutions, including system designs, specifications, enhancements, and effort estimates.
• We develop and support new and existing applications while adapting to shifting priorities and environments.
• We conduct code reviews and testing activities to support quality, performance, and standards compliance.
• We provide production support and troubleshoot issues, including participation in an on-call rotation.
• We collaborate with business and technology partners to identify solutions and achieve successful outcomes.
• We mentor and support team members by sharing technical expertise, best practices, and knowledge of business processes and systems.
• We work with external vendors.
