Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Working familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as Go, Python, or Bash
- Basic knowledge of Linux systems and command-line usage
- Interest in cloud infrastructure, containers, and Kubernetes; prior hands-on experience is not required
- Strong analytical mindset and a willingness to investigate unfamiliar systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a remote team
Responsibilities:
- Learn and help automate production infrastructure using Ansible and Terraform
- Assist with building and supporting cloud-native services across VKE, VLB, and VCR
- Develop practical skills with Kubernetes and container runtimes through guided project work
- Create and refine tooling and scripts in Go, Python, and Bash to support platform operations
- Help maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for platform services
- Troubleshoot issues spanning networking, containers, and Linux systems with persistence and curiosity
- Contribute to our open-source tools and libraries under the guidance of senior engineers
- Take part in on-call coverage and incident response as you grow operational expertise
