Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance and Department of Homeland Security Entry on Duty (EOD)
• Masters degree with 7 years of experience, or 16 years of experience
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure networking, storage, and virtual desktops
• Experience managing and administering Windows servers
• Experience with Azure AD, Intune, and FSLogix
• Experience in VDI profile management
• Knowledge of endpoint protection, policy management, and applying STIGs
• Experience integrating AVD with Office 365 services
• Experience with desktop software provisioning and support services
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Desired: 1 or more years of experience with one or more of MS SQL, Puppet, Chef, Qualys, SCCM, Intune, or MDM solutions
• Desired: 1 or more years of experience setting up and integrating IIS and SQL Server
• Desired: 2 or more years of experience with Azure security tools such as Sentinel
• Experience with Nerdio is desired
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining VDI in a large enterprise
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills; self-motivation and a commitment to operational excellence

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, architect, and maintain a large virtual desktop environment
• Serve as a subject matter expert in diagnosing and resolving performance issues across the organization
• Provide Tier 3 and Tier 4 support to system administrators resolving VDI issues
• Guide desktop optimization for platform interoperability and act as a liaison across VDI technologies
• Support endpoints by troubleshooting virtual desktop issues
• Administer, engineer, and implement virtual desktop infrastructure technologies
• Work across complex production environments and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
• Apply technical expertise across related disciplines
• Conduct trade studies and recommend solutions, including make-or-buy decisions
• Contribute to system integration, process automation, and process improvement
