Backend Software Engineer, TypeScript/Node.js

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js
• Demonstrated experience with production reliability, scalability, observability, data pipelines, API integration, and system design
• Proficiency with AWS and PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Git and other code versioning tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale systems
• Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Experience in the Tech Services industry is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable TypeScript and Node.js code
• Support production reliability, scalability, and observability
• Develop data pipelines, integrate APIs, and design systems for our technology services
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, then develop solutions
• Work with teammates and stakeholders to meet business needs and align systems with our technology strategy
• Contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from concept through deployment and ongoing support
• Provide technical leadership and apply strong engineering practices to plan and deliver large-scale, cross-functional, company-critical programs
• Keep up with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying relevant insights to our systems and processes
