Business Intelligence Developer

Requirements:

• Bachelors or masters degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or a related field; three years of equivalent experience in a related field may substitute for a bachelors degree.
• At least three years of experience as a BI developer.
• Experience in a BI developer or similar role, with strong knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with BI tools or software.
• Strong data visualization skills, including the ability to create clear, compelling dashboards.
• Experience with data exploration, querying, data warehousing, and data modeling; understanding of data warehouse, data lakehouse, and data mart concepts.
• Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
• Strong communication, training, project management, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and resolve issues.
• Significant experience working with cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Preferred: a technical background and experience with data and AI/ML projects.
• Preferred: experience with local or government projects in Data Services (MDM/R360/EDMS), Child Support, Integrated Eligibility, Child Welfare, Adult Protective Services, Juvenile Justice, or Health and Human Services.
• Knowledge of cloud computing is a plus; AWS QuickSight certification is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, ETL processes, and dashboards.
• Gather and analyze stakeholder requirements to ensure BI solutions meet their needs.
• Develop data models that support reporting and analytics.
• Build ETL processes to analyze data from different source systems and formats.
• Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to understand requirements and objectives.
• Conduct testing and troubleshoot issues.
• Create and maintain documentation.
