C# .NET Developer in London

Requirements:

• This role does not support a working visa.

Responsibilities:

• Understand business requirements, design applications, analyze business data, and develop applications in Visual C# .NET using Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Perform unit testing and quality assurance, implement applications, support production and disaster recovery environments, assist users, and prepare documentation.
• Support existing C# and .NET applications and help maintain the IT environments in which our applications run, working with our BI IT department.
• Follow our development teams change management procedures and obtain the required approvals before production updates.
• Define database objects and coordinate with SQL Server and Oracle database administrators in London and New York.
• Provide T-SQL and PL/SQL scripts to support data analysis requested by relevant business teams.
• Support the setup of system distribution methods for Citrix and application servers for web and Windows applications.
• Troubleshoot system failures and implement solutions, including code fixes and SQL scripts; check Windows servers, databases, and other relevant environments, coordinating with application support staff in London and New York as needed.
• Follow our development teams programming policies and procedures to maintain consistent programming practices.
• Update MS .NET Framework and MS Visual .NET platform versions, including making necessary changes to existing production systems.
• Liaise with development, technical support, network, infrastructure, and database administration teams to resolve business users system problems.
• Assess the impact of data processing loads on SQL Server and Oracle databases and identify alternative solutions when appropriate.
• Coordinate with our Release team to roll out changes and maintain application change histories.
• Communicate with primary support helpdesk staff in London and New York to provide system support.
• Provide occasional weekday and weekend support outside normal working hours.
