Calypso Developer

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience developing with the Nasdaq Calypso platform, including customization, configuration, and integration.
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring, SQL, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of Calypso modules, workflows, engines, messages, scheduled tasks, and reporting.
• Experience with financial products such as fixed income, foreign exchange, derivatives, money markets, or securities.
• Understanding of trade lifecycle processes, including settlements, confirmations, positions, and risk management.
• Experience with relational databases, Unix/Linux environments, and banking or capital-markets applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Preferred: experience with Calypso upgrades or cloud migrations; knowledge of microservices, Spring Boot, messaging technologies, CI/CD, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, Agile and DevOps practices; or Calypso techno-functional experience.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain solutions on the Calypso platform.
• Partner with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to turn business needs into technical solutions.
• Build Calypso components using Java, APIs, workflows, engines, reporting frameworks, and integration tools.
• Support front-, middle-, and back-office functions.
• Create and maintain integrations between Calypso and internal or external systems.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement lasting fixes.
• Support platform upgrades, releases, migrations, and performance enhancements.
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation and follow established SDLC and Agile practices.
• Collaborate with distributed technology and business teams.
