Requirements:
- At least 6 years of cloud data engineering experience, with experience aligned to intermediate-level 601/602 expectations.
- Strong experience with AWS data lake services, including Glue, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and Lake Formation.
- Experience with Snowflake, Python, Terraform, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with AI tools and workflows, such as Copilot, Claude, and agentic patterns.
- Hands-on experience with data movement tools and APIs, including AWS CLI, Python APIs, Spark, and Boto3.
- Familiarity with analytics and compute services, including Athena, S3 Select, EMR, Redshift, S3, and EC2.
- Python programming skills are required; Java or Scala is a plus.
- Knowledge of scheduling tools; Control-M is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD and release tools such as Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins, and ServiceNow.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch and Splunk.
- Preferred: experience with Snowflake Horizon Catalog and Databricks Unity Catalog.
- Preferred: familiarity with Databricks and Salesforce integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain AWS data pipelines and lake architectures using Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and Lake Formation.
- Develop and optimize data ingestion and transformation processes using Python, Spark, and Boto3, with S3 as the storage layer.
- Create infrastructure as code with Terraform and manage CI/CD pipelines for testing, releases, and deployments.
- Support analytics with Athena, EMR, Redshift, and S3 Select, and integrate Snowflake where appropriate.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize workflows using CloudWatch, Splunk, and reliability and cost-control practices.
- Apply data governance and catalog practices using Lake Formation, Snowflake Horizon, and Databricks Unity Catalog where applicable.
- Work with stakeholders to define requirements, deliver secure solutions, and support RTH-based performance objectives.
