Requirements:

• Candidates should have experience drafting Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and other technically detailed benefit communications, explaining complex concepts in clear, employee-friendly language.
• Candidates should be able to partner with technical consultants to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity in legally required documents under ERISA.
• Candidates should be able to organize SPDs and benefit guides with clear labels and modular structures that support quick answers and AI-assisted extraction.

This is a remote Technical Writer opportunity supporting the Employee Experience Design team within Fidelity Workplace Consulting. Well partner with external clients that administer employee benefit programs to support plan changes, raise awareness and understanding, and encourage employee engagement. The W-2 hourly rate is $45–$55, with pay determined in part by skills, experience, and other compensable factors. Eligible consultants regularly scheduled for at least 30 hours per week may receive medical, dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, voluntary life and disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and sick time where required by law. We use AI tools during initial application screening and hiring, with human recruiters reviewing AI-assisted evaluations before hiring decisions.
