Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or mathematics with a programming background, or equivalent development experience
- 4+ years of experience developing and debugging multithreaded C++ applications
- Attention to detail, clean coding practices, and strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks or projects concurrently
- Linux experience is preferred
- Experience with Jira, Git, Confluence, and databases is preferred
- Fluency in French and/or Spanish is an asset
- Strong knowledge of software security best practices, including encryption, is preferred
- Understanding of AI systems and their applications is preferred
- Previous employment at a convenience store or gas station is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Develop and support our point-of-sale application
- Document each phase of the project lifecycle and meet project milestones
- Prioritize work across new development, support, and bug fixes
- Develop solutions to challenges faced by the team and business
- Consult with internal stakeholders to estimate project development effort
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues promptly
- Take ownership of projects and see them through to completion
- Contribute to technical design discussions and recommend effective, scalable solutions
- Collaborate with and mentor team members through knowledge sharing and code reviews
