Enterprise Messaging Persistent Chat Engineer

Requirements:

• At least five years of experience in relevant engineering roles, preferably in enterprise environments within financial institutions.
• Hands-on experience with Linux-hosted persistent chat platforms such as Mattermost or Rocket.Chat.
• Proficiency with Agile tools, particularly Jira.
• Strong documentation, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with cloud-enabled messaging platforms such as Symphony, Microsoft Teams, or Slack.
• Experience deploying applications to mobility frameworks, including MAM and MDM.
• Ability to collaborate as a team member while taking individual accountability for deliverables.
• Ability to proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve risks, with curiosity and persistence in developing new products.
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification is preferred.
• MySQL database administration or development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Security, Operations, Product, Engineering, Architecture, and vendors on product lifecycle activities, fixes, features, and enhancements.
• Maintain workbooks and track delivery through Product JIRAs within Agile processes.
• Develop low-level designs that meet banking and security requirements.
• Deploy and validate low-level environments for new and existing services.
• Prepare technical documentation and lead training to support operational transitions.
• Perform advanced product testing and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure technical documentation is accurate and complete.
• Assess requirements for technical feasibility and represent technical needs for new service deployments.
• Take part in backlog grooming and feature release planning.
• Lead the decommissioning of non-strategic enterprise social and chat products.
