Full Stack Associate Developer

Requirements:

• Around 2–4 years of hands-on experience in full-stack application development, with strong fundamentals and readiness to learn our standards under senior engineers guidance.
• Java and Spring Boot fundamentals; experience building or modifying REST APIs; basic understanding of microservices, structured logging, and error handling.
• Working knowledge of Angular or React, including components, services, and state basics, and ability to connect simple UI features to backend APIs; awareness of UI/UX principles and accessibility.
• Ability to write basic-to-intermediate SQL using SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY, and ORDER BY, and familiarity with relational database concepts such as tables, indexes, and primary and foreign keys.
• Familiarity with an IDE such as IntelliJ, VS Code, or Eclipse; Git workflows; unit testing tools such as JUnit or Jest; CI/CD and deployment workflows; and cloud environments such as AWS. General familiarity with Docker and OpenShift or Kubernetes is sufficient; independent infrastructure design is not expected.
• Familiarity with Kafka or JMS is a plus. Exposure to AI tools such as GitHub Copilot is also a plus, but neither is required.
• Able to explain project contributions from academic, personal, or professional work and walk through substantive sample code in an IDE; a Hello World program is not sufficient.
• Able to answer foundational Java, SQL, and frontend questions, screen-share, and demonstrate problem-solving in an IDE. Deep system design is not expected; clear thinking and strong fundamentals are required.
• Communicates clearly with teammates and mentors, welcomes and applies feedback, and demonstrates accountability for deliverables and timelines.
• Understands the importance of quality, security, and reliability in a regulated financial environment.
• Strong practical understanding and real project exposure are required for consideration.

We are hiring a Full Stack Associate Developer for a role based in Dallas, Texas; Jersey City, New Jersey; or Tampa, Florida. The interview process has two rounds, with the second round conducted in person. The stated pay range is $45 to $50.
