Requirements:
- Strong experience in mainframe automation, including IBM System Automation and OPC/MVS.
- Hands-on knowledge of CA OPS/MVS and IBM System Automation, with demonstrated experience executing migrations.
- Proficiency in REXX scripting for automation.
- Basic understanding of z/OS, JCL, and batch processing.
- Experience providing L2/L3 support, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing permanent fixes.
- Preferred: Experience with large-scale tool migrations in mainframe environments.
- Preferred: Familiarity with CAB processes, audit readiness, and documentation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead migration from CA OPS/MVS Event Management and Automation to IBM Tivoli System Automation.
- Create automation scripts using REXX and related tools to streamline operations, monitoring, and incident management.
- Improve system reliability and efficiency using IBM System Automation and OPC/MVS.
- Install and maintain storage software and utilities.
- Support storage hardware upgrades and firmware updates, coordinating with vendors when needed.
- Provide L2/L3 support for storage incidents and resolve them promptly in line with SLAs.
- Investigate root causes and implement lasting solutions to recurring issues.
- Submit and implement changes through the CAB process and keep configuration documentation current.
- Maintain compliance with audit, security, and organizational standards.
- Identify ways to optimize storage operations and reduce manual effort.
