Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of US banking and financial services, including payment regulations, transaction processing, risk controls, and customer-facing banking applications
  • Proficiency in Core Java, including Java 8, 11, or 17, and Spring Boot
  • Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven messaging technologies such as Kafka or JMS
  • Familiarity with ACH, Fedwire, RTP, SWIFT, and card payment processing
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, as well as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Git
  • Knowledge of payment security standards and technologies, including PCI DSS, OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, and data encryption

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs
  • Build and improve high-volume US payment platforms that support critical banking transactions
  • Develop payment solutions for ACH, Fedwire, RTP, SWIFT, and card processing
  • Partner with business, operations, and compliance teams to align solutions with US banking regulations and standards
  • Create scalable, secure, highly available backend services for large transaction volumes
  • Integrate payment applications with core banking systems, payment gateways, and third-party financial institutions
  • Develop and optimize database solutions
  • Support payment lifecycle processes, including authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception handling
  • Participate in architecture and code reviews, and contribute to performance optimization
  • Troubleshoot critical production payment issues and help maintain service-level commitments
  • Contribute to Agile Scrum planning, estimation, and release activities
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on complex banking payment initiatives
