Requirements:

8+ years of software development experience
Strong hands-on backend engineering experience with Java and its frameworks
A bachelors or masters degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend services for high-volume Digital Banking platforms, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability
Lead distributed-systems design, including service decomposition, asynchronous communication, fault tolerance, idempotency, backpressure, consistency trade-offs, and graceful degradation
Build Java microservices, REST APIs, batch jobs, and event-driven workflows using modern engineering practices
Contribute to workflow implementations and promote orchestration best practices across services
Work hands-on within an agile team on architecture, code quality, delivery, and operational readiness
Ensure platforms are extensible, scalable, observable, reliable, and aligned with SLAs for internal and external users
Design solutions that are testable, intuitive, maintainable, and straightforward for engineering teams to operate
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and engineering discussions on key components and cross-enterprise initiatives
Partner with stakeholders to turn business capabilities into secure, performant, and maintainable technical solutions
Mentor engineers, help teams address complex problems, and elevate engineering standards
