Lead Software Engineer - Java & Python

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience as a full stack engineer with deep expertise in Python, Flask, and FastAPI.
• Proven background leading engineering teams in modern, cloud-first environments.
• Solid knowledge of AWS, containerization, and distributed system design.
• Demonstrated success designing and scaling CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both engineers and business leaders.
• A balanced mindset that combines technical depth with commercial awareness in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
• Preferred: Experience working with TypeScript and React.
• Preferred: Background in financial services, private equity, asset management, or consulting.
• Preferred: Practical experience applying AI or ML in products or workflow automation.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Snowflake, DBT, and modern data engineering tools.
• Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and inspire a team of 5+ full stack engineers to deliver impactful applications.
• Take charge of the design, development, and continual enhancement of approximately 15 Python-based applications utilizing Flask and FastAPI while remaining hands-on in crucial areas.
• Architect, construct, and enhance cloud-native, containerized solutions on AWS, prioritizing scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Drive modern CI/CD practices to enable rapid, reliable delivery across engineering teams.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, communicating solutions to non-technical stakeholders and translating business objectives into well-crafted engineering solutions.
• Foster a culture of inquiry, collaboration, and ongoing learning within the engineering organization.
• Investigate and incorporate AI/ML capabilities into both applications and engineering workflows to boost efficiency and insight.
• Keep abreast of industry trends to maintain the organizations competitive edge in the private equity and FinTech sectors.
