- Advanced SQL skills and hands-on Snowflake data engineering experience, including DDL, performance tuning, data sharing, Streams/Tasks, or Snowpark.
- Solid Java development experience, including core Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs, plus the ability to read and support .NET/C# applications.
- Strong Python skills for API integrations, data processing, and automation.
- Direct experience with an enterprise CDP, such as Tealium, ActionIQ, Segment, mParticle, or Treasure Data, and a customer engagement platform such as Braze.
- Hands-on experience with Braze APIs, webhooks, Canvas configurations, and Liquid templating.
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD deployment pipelines, containerized environments, and enterprise job schedulers.
- Strong knowledge of retail data, including omnichannel transactions, store POS feeds, order management systems, product catalogs, and loyalty programs.
- Preferred: Braze certification, such as Technical Architect, Practitioner, or Marketer; Snowflake SnowPro certification; experience with Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, or Azure Event Hubs; experience with reverse-ETL tools such as Census or Hightouch, or middleware such as MuleSoft; and familiarity with cross-border collaboration across onshore and offshore time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain automated batch and near-real-time data pipelines in Snowflake using SQL and Python.
- Coordinate data feeds between Snowflake, the enterprise CDP, and Braze, synchronizing customer profiles, behavioral events, purchase history, loyalty tiers, and product catalogs.
- Manage data models, schema changes, and backfills for customer attributes, event schemas, and historical metrics.
- Uphold customer consent, subscription preferences, and data privacy requirements across outbound channels.
- Build, improve, and troubleshoot integrations connecting Java/Spring and .NET/C# retail applications with the CDP, Braze APIs, and POS, OMS, and e-commerce systems.
- Implement secure APIs, webhooks, and event-driven data streaming to capture and activate real-time customer signals.
- Define and document data contracts, payload schemas, API rates, dependencies, and event triggers.
- Help marketing teams configure Braze Canvases, audiences, and customer journeys using CDP and Snowflake data.
- Create and maintain personalization logic with Liquid, HTML/CSS, and Connected Content linked to internal APIs or catalogs.
- Work with campaign operations to verify event tracking, customer attributes, message frequency caps, and audience suppression rules.
- Lead end-to-end quality assurance and data reconciliation across application logs, Snowflake, CDP profiles, and Braze audiences.
- Investigate identity resolution problems, duplicate profiles, low match rates, anonymous-to-known session linking, and webhook failures.
- Set up monitoring, alerts, and error handling for data pipelines and API calls.
- Maintain Git-based CI/CD workflows, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks in Jira and Confluence.
- Deliver accurate, timely data feeds; reliable integrations; support for agile marketing campaigns; and consistent handling of consent and opt-outs.
