Network Engineer, Mobile Core Services

Requirements:

• Be extremely well-versed in Cisco products and have previous Cisco experience.
• Have experience supporting mobile core network environments, including packet core technologies.
• Understand 5G networking concepts and call flow analysis.
• Have experience developing and executing structured network testing plans.
• Be able to create technical documentation, including test reports, implementation plans, migration guides, and operational reports.
• Have experience supporting production network deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
• Know network design principles, including resiliency, scalability, fault recovery, and Quality of Service.
• Have experience evaluating implementation procedures and conducting change impact assessments.
• Have strong troubleshooting skills for network hardware, software, and configuration issues.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to work onsite during standard business hours, 8 AM–5 PM, five days per week.
• Be able to participate in after-hours deployment activities and respond to critical incidents when required.
• Preferred: experience in large enterprise or service provider network environments.
• Preferred: experience supporting laboratory-to-production migration initiatives.
• Preferred: experience delivering technical workshops, training, or knowledge transfer.
• Preferred: industry certifications related to networking or telecommunications.
• Preferred: experience in customer-facing technical reviews and operational governance meetings.
• Be familiar with Cisco Enhanced Packet Core, 5G mobile networks, network testing and validation tools, packet analysis and troubleshooting tools, network monitoring platforms, technical documentation tools, and change management processes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical guidance and advisory support for network enhancements, infrastructure upgrades, and architecture improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand testing objectives, technical requirements, and business goals.
• Develop, execute, and document network test plans, and communicate results through professional reports.
• Support the design, implementation, and validation of laboratory environments, feature enhancements, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Create migration documentation and support the transition of solutions from laboratory environments into production.
• Provide technical insight during escalations and work with support organizations to accelerate service restoration.
• Advise on network architecture, focusing on resiliency, scalability, performance, and service quality.
• Review proposed network changes for risk, impact, and implementation readiness.
• Support major deployment events and help troubleshoot hardware and configuration issues.
• Share technical knowledge through documentation, informal training, and knowledge transfer.
• Participate in recurring customer meetings, service reviews, and operational planning discussions.
• Contribute to operational reporting, risk assessments, and future planning activities.
