Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Requirements:

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience in data development, SQL development, or data analytics
• Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development and database programming
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, and query optimization
• Solid understanding of relational database concepts and data structures
• Experience with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database performance optimization
• Background in data analysis, profiling, reconciliation, and data quality management
• Experience with complex financial data or in banking, financial services, risk, or regulatory reporting
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with business and technology stakeholders
• Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams in cross-functional environments
• Experience mentoring junior developers or analysts and providing technical guidance
• Exposure to data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Awareness of AI/ML techniques and their potential applications in data analytics
• Experience identifying process improvements and implementing data automation solutions
• Experience in regulated financial services environments with time-sensitive reporting requirements

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and reporting
• Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other database objects
• Conduct detailed data analysis and profiling to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and quality issues
• Analyze complex financial data to support finance, risk, and operational business functions
• Create and maintain reports and analytical solutions based on business needs
• Identify ways to automate manual data processes and improve operational efficiency
• Work closely with business users, technology teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver data solutions
• Clearly communicate technical findings and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences

This is an onsite contract opportunity in Tampa, Florida, lasting at least six months with potential for longer-term work. The pay range is $70–$76 per hour.
