Python Developer

Requirements:

• Professional experience as a Python Developer, with a portfolio of backend or data-migration projects
• Ability to analyze legacy Excel models—including formulas, macros, and data flows—and translate their logic into scalable code
• Experience with Python error handling, validation, and performance optimization
• Strong documentation and stakeholder collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex Excel calculations, macros, formulas, and data flows to identify embedded business logic
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve ambiguities
• Convert Excel calculations into accurate, efficient Python code and optimize it for performance, scalability, and robust error handling
• Develop and run tests, compare Python results with the original Excel outputs, and investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Document existing Excel frameworks and new Python code, including inline comments, user guides, and technical specifications
• Maintain organized project documentation and follow version-control and clean-coding best practices
