QA Automation Engineer

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of QA automation experience, including manual and automated testing of web applications and APIs.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with TestNG, Maven, and developing automation frameworks.
• Hands-on API testing experience using Postman or SoapUI.
• SQL knowledge for database validation.
• Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Client ALM.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), software testing life cycle (STLC), and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Knowledge of XML/JSON and REST/SOAP web services.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
• Experience in insurance or banking is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and run manual and automated tests for web and API applications.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks with Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Maven.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Test APIs with Postman or SoapUI and verify request and response data.
• Write SQL queries to validate backend data and test databases.
• Record, track, and manage defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Client ALM.
• Take part in Agile activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to support software quality.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, execution reports, and defect reports.
