QA Automation Engineer

Requirements:

• Proficiency with Selenium, SQL, and test automation is required.
• A four-year degree in a related field, such as computer science, business administration, or engineering, is required.
• Prior work experience or coursework in C, C, or Java is required; JUnit experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies is required.
• Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, and/or Solaris environments is required.
• Three to five years of experience in a directly applicable functional QA role is required.
• Experience with automated functional testing using Selenium or an equivalent tool is required.
• Experience with enterprise ERP systems, particularly high-volume transaction processing, is preferred.
• Experience on projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies, iterations, and user stories is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Debug complex software products using systematic testing and help develop, apply, and maintain quality standards.
• Develop, publish, and implement test plans.
• Define and track quality assurance metrics, including defect density and open defect counts.
• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
• Consult with development staff to resolve problems, choosing appropriate methods and techniques.
• Maintain documentation of test execution and results.
• Analyze test results to verify existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
• Assist with developing quality assurance standards.
• Code, maintain, and execute automated test scripts, and design scripts when required by the project.
• Help prepare reports and update documentation.
• Provide consultation on complex projects when needed and interact with senior internal and external personnel.

We are recruiting for a QA Manual Engineer for our client, a leading company in the IT industry. This is a 12-month contract with potential for longer-term work, based onsite in Frisco, Texas.
