Do you enjoy hands-on technical leadership where you will set the verification direction, prioritise the team's work and take responsibility for test deliveries, while working closely with developers, system engineers and other test teams?

In this role, you will lead and support the team working with robotic behaviour and system functionality, combining field testing with data analysis, automation and simulation to understand how our products perform in real-world environments.

Role Description

As Robotic Behaviour Test Lead, you will take ownership of verification within your area, from discussing requirements and setting the overall test direction to prioritising and coordinating the team's work. You will work hands-on with our robotic products in test environments and outdoors in different weather and operating conditions.

Together with development and other R&D teams, you will investigate system behaviour, analyse results and turn technical challenges into effective verification. You will also:

Translate requirements, system behaviour and technical risks into effective test strategies and test cases.

Combine physical testing with automation, simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing to get quick results across different scenarios and conditions.

Use Linux, Python and ROS bag data for testing, troubleshooting and analysis, and communicate results, risks and readiness to stakeholders.

Continuously improve test methods, tools and automation capabilities, and participate in testing at different test sites, including travel when required.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys being close to the product and understanding how complex robotic systems behave in the real world. You combine technical depth with the ability to lead verification, collaborate across teams and communicate clearly with different stakeholders. You are comfortable moving between requirement discussions, technical analysis and hands-on field testing.

You have:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience within testing or development of robotics, autonomous systems, embedded systems or similar complex products.
  • A relevant university degree within engineering, robotics, computer science, electronics or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux and ROS bag.
  • Experience with Python, test automation and simulation, including designing and running automated tests.
  • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills. Fluency in English is required, while Swedish is an advantage.
