SC Cleared Scala Developer

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience developing applications using Scala
• Strong understanding of functional programming principles and modern software engineering practices
• Proven experience building high-quality, scalable backend services and distributed systems
• Experience with Akka, Play Framework, or similar Scala ecosystems
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps practices, and modern engineering methodologies
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS; exposure to Azure or Google Cloud is beneficial
• Ability to develop robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions in a commercial environment
• Willingness and flexibility to provide occasional out-of-hours support when required
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, UK Security Clearance at SC/DV level; sponsorship will be provided where required
• Candidates should meet the relevant residency requirements; any applicable reserved post nationality restrictions will be confirmed by the client
