Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in business intelligence or a highly analytical business role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to structure complex or ill-defined problems and troubleshoot issues.
• Experience writing and running SQL queries; knowledge of SQL, Oracle, and Snowflake databases and architecture.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve data-quality problems.
• Experience using Power BI or a similar business intelligence platform.
• Bachelors degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, mathematics, or engineering.
• Assets include experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate), strong DAX and M Query knowledge, and an understanding of data modeling and user-focused Power BI report design.
• Additional assets include familiarity with AI tools such as machine learning and natural language processing, predictive analytics and statistical models, Python, and the ability to build credibility and influence recommendations across an organization.
• Spoken and written English proficiency is required to support clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. French-English bilingualism is an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Work with managers and analysts to define business challenges, gather requirements, and translate them into data models and performance measures.
• Use SQL to retrieve and analyze information from reporting and transactional databases, operational data stores, and external systems to support decision-making.
• Create data models and DAX measures for business intelligence and data visualization.
• Develop interactive, informative reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
• Apply emerging data analytics technologies to encourage innovation in McKesson Canadas supply chain.
• Assess data quality and work with IT to correct source data or develop data translation solutions as needed.
• Research business data analysis best practices through publications, training, and professional development.
• Share information about developed content and promote the use of Power BI tools with stakeholders.
