Senior Application Developer (.NET + GIS)

Requirements:

• 8+ years of full-stack .NET development experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, SQL Server, and Azure
• Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, GIS, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with geospatial data in SQL Server, Oracle Spatial, and/or PostgreSQL/PostGIS
• Experience integrating web mapping libraries such as ArcGIS JS, Leaflet, or OpenLayers
• Front-end skills in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, with React or Angular
• Experience with Git/GitHub, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD
• Team leadership experience and strong communication skills with technical and non-technical staff
• Preferred: Azure certification such as AZ-204, a masters degree, public-sector experience, or familiarity with NYC property and building data such as BIN/BBL, PLUTO, and Geosupport

Responsibilities:

• Build full-stack solutions using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/.NET 9, MVC, Entity Framework, and JavaScript frameworks
• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, including spatial data
• Build cloud applications using Azure App Service, Azure SQL, and Functions
• Develop REST APIs and integrate GIS data and mapping with enterprise systems
• Lead and guide a team of developers and conduct code reviews
• Prepare technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer
