Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in silicon test, security engineering, or test software development.
  • Experience with device security and secure provisioning during test, including OTP/eFuse programming.
  • Working knowledge of encryption fundamentals, cryptographic keys, and secure communication channels.
  • Strong software engineering skills, including proficiency in Python and/or C/C++, and experience creating reusable, well-architected code.
  • Experience developing test or automation software for Advantest 93K and/or Teradyne UltraFLEX platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • International travel during release-to-production phases.
  • Must meet applicable export control eligibility requirements: be a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted to the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Preferred: Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Preferred: Ability to lead cross-functional technical efforts and mentor engineers.
  • Preferred: Expertise in silicon security for modem and SoC devices, including secure boot, secure key and identity provisioning, fuse-based lifecycle management, and debug-port lockdown.
  • Preferred: Experience implementing manufacturing or test cryptographic provisioning flows involving keys, certificates, and device identities.
  • Preferred: Experience with silicon anti-tamper and physical security features, such as tamper detection, sensors, and secure-element hardening.
  • Preferred: In-depth understanding of OTP/eFuse programming challenges, including programming margin, read-back verification, repeatability, and irreversible operations at high volume.
  • Preferred: Experience building reusable ATE libraries and tools, including pattern search, sub-flow generation, and automated test-program generation.
  • Preferred: Experience testing complex SoCs, including developing, debugging, and analyzing scan/ATPG, MBIST, JTAG boundary scan, and functional test coverage.
  • Preferred: Experience developing and debugging test programs on Advantest 93K and Teradyne UltraFLEX platforms.
  • Preferred: Experience with high-speed SERDES test and characterization, including equalization testing and tuning (CTLE/DFE/FFE), jitter decomposition, and eye/BER analysis.
  • Preferred: Experience developing high-volume manufacturing test solutions and leading the New Product Introduction (NPI) test release lifecycle, from silicon bring-up and qualification through production hand-off and ramp.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with I/O protocols such as I3C, SPI, and GPIO.
  • Preferred: Experience testing complex modem and SoC devices on advanced process nodes.

Responsibilities:

  • Own device security and secure provisioning during testing, including secure boot, key and identity injection, cryptographic provisioning, fuse-based configuration and lifecycle management, and debug-port lockdown.
  • Develop, own, and qualify OTP/eFuse programming flows, addressing programming margin, read-back verification, repeatability, and irreversible fuse operations across process, voltage, and temperature conditions.
  • Connect ATE flows with secure provisioning systems, hardware security modules (HSMs), or key-management infrastructure.
  • Develop and validate JTAG and debug-access flows for post-provisioned units, supporting investigation of RMA returns and downstream quality issues while maintaining device security.
  • Create and maintain reusable ATE libraries and tools that accelerate test development across the team.
  • Build utilities for pattern search and analysis, automated sub-flow generation, and generating test programs from patterns.
  • Architect scalable, maintainable, reusable libraries and frameworks, applying sound software practices such as modular design, version control, code review, and testing.
  • Run firmware on devices under test to support secure provisioning and self-test while reducing test time.
  • Work with ASIC design, DFT, security, and firmware teams to ensure devices satisfy our standards for secure provisioning, design-for-test, and design-for-manufacturability.
  • Identify security, test-readiness, and software gaps throughout the product lifecycle and drive them to resolution.
  • Lead technical and security reviews and establish software and security best practices for the team.
