Senior Business Analyst

Requirements:

• At least three years of business analysis experience supporting medium-sized initiatives.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and meeting facilitation skills.
• Clear writing skills and experience preparing technical documentation and eliciting requirements.
• Skilled in collaborative facilitation and advanced business modeling, including process and workflow modeling.
• Knowledge of preparing test cases and test plans.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A university degree, college diploma, or equivalent business experience.
• Insurance industry experience is preferred; Guidewire Claims Center experience is highly desired. Agile experience is also preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements.
• Facilitate discussions with IT teams and business unit managers and staff.
• Develop an understanding of business domains, processes, systems, data, and their connections to produce project deliverables.
• Conduct or lead business process analysis to identify requirements.
• Work with test teams to develop testing strategies and execution plans, ensuring test cases align with requirements.
• Guide reporting documentation and how-to requirements.
• Contribute to Business Analysis Center of Excellence activities and follow established best practices.
• Participate throughout the project lifecycle to ensure business requirements are understood, documented, and fulfilled.
• Define or refine business needs for new or improved products and services, and for process optimization.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and consult with stakeholders to understand their goals and objectives.

We are seeking a senior Business Analyst to act as a bridge between business units and IT, translating business needs into clear requirements and conceptual designs for technology solutions. The role focuses on insurance claims and is remote. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity requiring W-2 employment and willingness to convert to a full-time employee after the contract period. The posted pay range is $55–$65 per hour on a W-2 basis; compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
