Senior Business Analyst, Oil and Gas Experience

Requirements:

• 8 years of strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English.
• 8 years of experience gathering requirements and creating reports.
• 8 years facilitating the development and analysis of business requirements and working with business personnel to design technical solutions.
• 5 years participating in and guiding business teams through user acceptance testing, training, and implementation activities.
• 2 years of experience with Snowflake and Power BI.
• 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, develop, and document requirements using multiple approaches.
• Review, assess, and develop business processes.
• Create and validate user acceptance tests, and provide research and support for special projects.
• Analyze and document multiple related reporting projects, including data analysis and root-cause analysis of data errors.
• Document data flows, develop reports, and publish data to the Open Data Portal or our website.
• Produce and maintain deliverables and materials in line with established processes, quality standards, and accepted business analysis methods.
• Provide substantial independent judgment and initiative with limited direction, and potentially assign or supervise others.

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with oil and gas and report-development experience for a fully remote, year-long contract, preferably based in Texas. The contract may be renewed for up to three years. The role may require work outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as requested.
