Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of related experience in business intelligence or a highly analytical business function
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to structure ambiguous problems and troubleshoot
• Experience writing SQL queries and knowledge of SQL, Oracle, or Snowflake databases and architecture
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot data quality issues
• Experience using Power BI or a similar business intelligence platform
• Bachelors degree in a related field, such as computer science, mathematics, or engineering
• Assets include experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, strong DAX and M Query skills, and an understanding of data modeling and user-focused Power BI report design
• Familiarity with AI tools, machine learning, natural-language query, predictive analytics and statistical models such as regression, or Python is an asset
• Bilingual written and spoken communication skills are an asset
• Ability to build credibility across the organization and persuasively promote ideas and proposals is an asset

Responsibilities:

• Work with management and analysts to define business problems, gather requirements, and translate them into data models and measures
• Use SQL to collect and assess data from reporting and transactional databases, operational data stores, and external systems to support leadership decision-making
• Create data models and DAX measures for business intelligence and data visualization
• Build interactive, informative reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI
• Apply emerging analytics technologies to encourage innovation in our supply chain
• Monitor data quality and coordinate with IT to correct source data or develop translation sources where needed
• Research and identify business data analysis best practices through literature, training, and professional development
• Explain and share Power BI content and usage guidance with stakeholders
